Deputy Manager
-
We are seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager to join us. You will be working in a great team and will become a key part of the nursery’s internal structure with the opportunity to strengthen both your leadership and management skills. You will support the Manager in overseeing the smooth running of the nursery and uphold and thoroughly embed the outstanding standards which we are striving for. This includes sharing and supporting the vision of the Manager and Director’s views of how the nursery should be run. You will be confident in your ability to make decisions and the ability to lead when the Manager is absent. You will also be adept in working out nursery rotas, suitable staff deployment and handling employee queries.

You should be hardworking, pro-active and lead by example. You will have great ideas and be able to work well as part of a team. Your can-do attitude will motivate and inspire your team to reach their full potential. You will develop open and positive working relationships your team, whilst supporting, supervising, training, and appraising them to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice. You will support the Nursery Manager to identify training needs; develop training plans and evaluate the training undertaken by staff. You will have an excellent knowledge of the EYFS, nursery policies and procedures.

You will inspire children to be happy, smart, and healthy and to thrive as individuals. You will ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.

You will be aware and flexible to the realities of childcare! This could include jumping into the kitchen in times of sickness, contacting contractors for maintenance issues, being a first-aider, a tech wizard, a shoulder to cry on or arranging team events- no two days are ever the same! But we can assure you that the team around you will make every challenge a pleasant and supportive experience. Have a genuine love of childcare and be happy to jump into ratio when needed. As a competent Deputy Manager, you will use these opportunities to observe practice in the rooms and build strong relationships with your team.

To join us, you need a minimum Level 3 in Childcare, at least one year’s experience in a senior role, and ideally up-to-date Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid training.

Salary £30,000-£32,000 depending on experience.

Level 3 Practitioners - we are looking for a caring, fun, motivated, and ambitious practitioner to join our team. You will be required to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and of course the children in your care. You should hold a level 3 qualification, and have excellent communication and organisational skills (40 hours per week)​​​​
